La prueba básica de fertilidad en varón, es el seminograma ó espermiograma, los valores de normalidad de nuestro Centro son los criterios de la ESHRE ( Sociedad Europea de Embriologia y Reproducción Humana).En este estudio cuantificamos la concentración de espermatozoides por ml., la movilidad, la morfología así como la vitalidad espermática. La realización de la capacitación espemática con el REM ( recuento de espermatozoides móviles ) nos permite, prescribir la técnica más adecuada, derivada del factor masculino. Por último, el estudio bacteriológico del semen, las hormonas masculinas y la serología de la hepatitis B y C, VIH, RPR junto con el grupo sanguíneo y Rh completarian el estudio del Varón.En casos necesarios.para completar el estudio, estudiamos los cromosomas (Cariotipo), prescribimos: biopsia testiculares, punción de epidídimo, meiosis espermática y fragmentación del ADN espermático..... etc

The knowledge of the reproductive capacity of the spermatozoa, established y the Motile Spermatozoa Count, allow us to decide the most appropriate technique depending on the masculine factor.
Finally, the man study will be completed with the following tests: bacteriologic analysis of the semen, masculine hormones levels, serology of the Hepatitis B and C, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Rapid Plasma Reagin (RPR) for syphilis, together with the blood group and Rh factor..
The chromosomes karyotype is studied in certain cases only.
